Ingredients

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted 2 sticks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
Frosting and Decoration
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting store-bought or homemade
  • Oreo cookie halves for decoration

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, mixing until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until fully incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Baking and Frosting
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, spread a generous layer of cream cheese frosting over the top.
  3. Press Oreo halves into the frosting for decoration and optionally add edible eyes for a spooky effect.
