Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, mixing until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreos until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Baking and Frosting
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, spread a generous layer of cream cheese frosting over the top.
- Press Oreo halves into the frosting for decoration and optionally add edible eyes for a spooky effect.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for a week. They can be frozen for up to three months. Microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm.
