Preparation
- Make sure the shrimp are thoroughly cleaned, peeled, and deveined. Pat them dry and set aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high, add the shrimp to the skillet, and season with salt and pepper. Stir occasionally and cook for about 3–4 minutes, until the shrimp turns pink.
- Pour in the beer and soy sauce, then add the lime zest and juice. Let the mixture simmer for another 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve immediately with your favorite sides!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, warm in a skillet over medium heat or microwave in short bursts, being careful not to overcook. Freeze without garnish for up to 3 months.
