Ingredients

Cheesy Mixture
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Coating
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, chopped jalapeño, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Take small portions of the cheesy mixture and roll them into balls about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Roll each cheese ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. Heat enough oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium heat until hot, but not smoking.
  5. Carefully place a few cheese balls into the oil and fry for about 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.
  6. Remove the cheese balls from the oil and set onto paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are prepared beforehand for a smoother cooking process. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, use an air fryer or bake at 375°F for 10-15 minutes for best results.
