Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and coat them generously in powdered sugar.
Baking
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly firm but the centers are still soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze for up to three months in a freezer-safe bag.
