Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, slice your ripe bananas and mix them with half of the granulated sugar. Set this aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar. Mix until well integrated.
Mixing Ingredients
- Create a well in the center of your dry mixture and add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined; small lumps are okay.
Baking
- In a greased baking dish, pour the batter first. Evenly distribute the banana mixture on top. Optionally, sprinkle cinnamon over it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serving
- Once baked, let the cobbler cool for a few minutes, then serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For long-term storage, freeze wrapped properly. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
