Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips and M&M's until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature ingredients, don't overmix the dough, and consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
