Ingredients
  

Basic Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it’s at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed Light or dark brown sugar can be used.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Best at room temperature.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M's

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips and M&M's until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers remain soft.
  2. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients, don't overmix the dough, and consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
