Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour your workspace and roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases.
- Place the round of brie in the center of the pastry. Spread fig jam generously on top of the brie, allowing it to seep into the crevices. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the jam.
- Gather the edges of the puff pastry and gently fold them over the brie, pinching the seams to seal.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Brush the egg wash over the pastry.
Baking
- Place the wrapped brie on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh herbs. Serve warm.
