Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Snickers candies chopped
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts optional

Method

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside for later.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a larger bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until it’s light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. Continue mixing until everything is well combined.
  5. Combine Dry and Wet Mixtures: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing!
  6. Fold in Snickers and Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chopped Snickers candies and chocolate chips, ensuring they are well distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Scoop and Bake: Using a cookie scoop, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool Down: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
