Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Ensure they are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) Ensure it’s halal-certified.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic adds more flavor.
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese Can be substituted with other cheeses.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional, but recommended for a fresh touch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish and sprinkle them with salt and pepper.
  4. In a bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, minced garlic, and grated parmesan. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  5. Spread the creamy mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well covered.
Cooking
  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and let it bake for an additional 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the top is lightly golden.
Serving
  1. Once done, let it rest for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, Greek yogurt can be used instead of sour cream. Always check the chicken for doneness with a meat thermometer; it should read at least 165°F (75°C). Avoid overbaking to retain moisture.
