Preparation
- Preheat the Blackstone Griddle on medium-high heat for at least 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef with taco seasoning and divide into four equal balls.
Cooking
- Lightly oil the griddle surface and smash each beef ball flat using a spatula. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes without moving until the edges are crispy. Flip them and place a slice of cheese on each. Cook for an additional minute until the cheese melts.
- While the patties are cooking, warm the taco shells on the griddle for about a minute.
Assembly
- Place a cheesy smash burger patty in each taco shell and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado, and pickles if desired.

Notes
For best results, use an 80/20 blend of beef for juicy patties. Preheat the griddle properly to avoid dryness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
