Ingredients
  

For the patties
  • 1 pound Ground beef (80/20 blend) For optimal juiciness
  • 1 tablespoon Taco seasoning
  • 4 slices American cheese Or cheese of your preference
For assembly
  • 4 pieces Taco shells Soft or crunchy, your choice
  • 1 cup Lettuce (shredded)
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes Fresh or canned
  • 1 piece Avocado Sliced or mashed
  • optional Pickles To taste
  • for greasing Olive oil For the griddle

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Blackstone Griddle on medium-high heat for at least 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef with taco seasoning and divide into four equal balls.
Cooking
  1. Lightly oil the griddle surface and smash each beef ball flat using a spatula. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes without moving until the edges are crispy. Flip them and place a slice of cheese on each. Cook for an additional minute until the cheese melts.
  3. While the patties are cooking, warm the taco shells on the griddle for about a minute.
Assembly
  1. Place a cheesy smash burger patty in each taco shell and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado, and pickles if desired.
Serving
  1. Serve the Smash Burger Tacos warm and let everyone dive into their personalized creations!

Notes

For best results, use an 80/20 blend of beef for juicy patties. Preheat the griddle properly to avoid dryness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
