  • 1 pound kielbasa or smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and trimming the green beans.
  2. Slice the kielbasa into bite-sized pieces and chop the onion and garlic.
Cooking
  1. Place the sliced kielbasa at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Layer the trimmed green beans on top, and sprinkle the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, ensuring the ingredients are mostly covered.
  4. Add salt and pepper according to taste.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for about 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, depending on your schedule.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, give everything a good stir and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to mix in other vegetables for added nutrition. Leftovers store well and can be reheated.
