Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Start by chopping the carrots, celery, and onion.
Layering
- In your slow cooker, layer the chicken breasts at the bottom.
- Pour the chicken broth over the chicken, followed by the cream of chicken soup.
- Add the chopped vegetables, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, covering everything in the creamy goodness.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- The longer, the better for tender chicken.
Preparing Dumplings
- About 30 minutes before serving, open your can of refrigerated biscuit dough.
- Pull apart the dough into pieces and drop them on top of the cooking mixture in the slow cooker.
Finishing
- Once the dumplings are fluffy and cooked through, stir everything well.
- Adjust seasoning as necessary and then it’s time to serve!
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to three months. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
