  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 medium carrots, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce For a Halal-compliant alternative, consider soy sauce and vinegar or lemon juice.
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Preparation
  1. Start by chopping the onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes. Make sure everything is ready to go—this dish deserves your full attention!
  2. Generously season your beef roast with salt and pepper. Feel free to add herbs or spices you love—like a little paprika for heat!
  3. For a deeper flavor (this is optional but highly recommended), heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast on all sides until it’s golden brown.
Cooking
  1. Place the seared roast in your slow cooker. Add the chopped onions, garlic, carrots, and potatoes around the beef.
  2. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and sprinkle the thyme over the top.
  3. Cover with the lid and set your slow cooker to LOW for 8 hours.
  4. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and serve it with the veggies and broth. Don’t forget to garnish with fresh herbs if you have them!

Notes

For best results, avoid opening the lid and ensure the beef is fully submerged in the liquid. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
