- In a large skillet, bring water to a boil and cook your pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the ground meat and cook over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then add the marinara sauce, mixing well.
- Add the cooked pasta to the meat mixture. Stir in the ricotta cheese until evenly combined. Then sprinkle in the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on low heat to allow the cheese to melt and everything to blend together.
- Once the cheese is melty and bubbly, remove from heat. Garnish with the remaining Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For a vegetarian option, replace the ground meat with mushrooms, lentils, or your favorite plant-based protein. Experiment with different cheese types for unique flavors.
