  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp preferred for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor
  • 1 juice of lemon Freshly squeezed for brightness
  • Salt and pepper, to taste For seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish Optional for presentation

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse your shrimp under cold water, then pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Cooking
  1. Carefully toss in the shrimp and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip to the other side and cook for another 2 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque.
  3. Squeeze the fresh lemon over the shrimp, tossing everything together.
Serving
  1. Remove the skillet from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. To reheat, gently warm in a skillet over low heat to prevent rubberiness.
