  • 1 head head of green cabbage Ensure the cabbage is fresh and crisp.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with avocado or sunflower oil.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced Sauté until soft and translucent.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Add after onions to prevent burning.
  • to taste salt and pepper Generously season to enhance flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Remove any wilted outer leaves from the cabbage, cut into quarters, remove the core, and slice into thin strips.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
Sautéing
  1. Add the sliced onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the sliced cabbage, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
  4. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the cabbage wilts but retains a slight crunch.
Finishing Touches
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning; add a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
  2. Remove from heat and serve hot as a side or main dish, enjoying the compliments!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
