For the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and the egg.
  2. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced ginger, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Gently mix everything until well combined — about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Using your hands, form small balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. This recipe should yield about 20-24 meatballs.

Baking
  1. Place the meatballs on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Glazing
  1. While the meatballs are baking, combine extra soy sauce, brown sugar, and any remaining sesame oil in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
  2. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and gently toss them in the glaze. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Serving
  1. Pair with steamed rice, and get ready to wow your family and friends!
