Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and the egg.
- Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced ginger, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Gently mix everything until well combined — about 2-3 minutes.
- Using your hands, form small balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. This recipe should yield about 20-24 meatballs.
- While you shape the meatballs, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Baking
- Place the meatballs on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Glazing
- While the meatballs are baking, combine extra soy sauce, brown sugar, and any remaining sesame oil in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
- Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and gently toss them in the glaze. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Serving
- Pair with steamed rice, and get ready to wow your family and friends!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for about 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
