Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Shred cooked chicken if not done. Steam broccoli florets for about 3-4 minutes until bright green, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
Mixing
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, broccoli, cottage cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Assembling
- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil. Pour the chicken and broccoli mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
Topping
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, followed by breadcrumbs.
Baking
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Serving
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.
Notes
If you want to mix it up, consider using leftover turkey or substitute broccoli with your favorite green veggies. Avoid overcooking the broccoli.
