  • 2 cups broccoli florets Steam until bright green.
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) For topping.

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs For a crunchy finish.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For greasing the baking dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Shred cooked chicken if not done. Steam broccoli florets for about 3-4 minutes until bright green, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
Mixing
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, broccoli, cottage cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Assembling
  1. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil. Pour the chicken and broccoli mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
Topping
  1. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, followed by breadcrumbs.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.

Notes

If you want to mix it up, consider using leftover turkey or substitute broccoli with your favorite green veggies. Avoid overcooking the broccoli.
