Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the Halal-friendly sausage until browned. Once cooked, crumble it into smaller pieces and set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
- Add the torn croissant pieces and the crumbled sausage into the bowl. Mix until everything is well coated.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and optionally add chopped green onions or bell peppers.
Baking
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes until the eggs are set and the top is golden and bubbly.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve it hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze individual portions for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving.
