  • 4 pieces croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled (Halal-friendly sausage) Feel free to use turkey or chicken sausage as alternatives.
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped green onions or bell peppers For additional flavor and decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the Halal-friendly sausage until browned. Once cooked, crumble it into smaller pieces and set it aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
  4. Add the torn croissant pieces and the crumbled sausage into the bowl. Mix until everything is well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and optionally add chopped green onions or bell peppers.
Baking
  1. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes until the eggs are set and the top is golden and bubbly.
  2. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve it hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze individual portions for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving.
