Ingredients

For the chicken
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Use boneless, skinless for best results
  • 1 cup buttermilk For marinating
For the coating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference
  • as needed cup Oil for frying Use vegetable or canola oil

Method

Marination
  1. Begin by marinating the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour. For the best results, it's advisable to marinate overnight.
Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  2. Add oil to a large frying pan and heat over medium heat until hot.
Cooking
  1. Remove each chicken breast from the buttermilk, letting any excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring it's coated well.
  2. Carefully place the coated chicken into the hot oil. Fry each piece for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  3. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate lined with paper towels to drain off excess oil.
  4. Serve hot!

Notes
