Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and press the pie crust dough evenly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges start to golden.
Making the filling
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well-combined.
- Add the maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt; mixing until smooth and uniform.
- Fold in the chopped pecans into the syrup mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
Combine & Bake
- Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust, using a spatula to spread it evenly. Bake for another 20-25 minutes or until the center is set. Allow the bars to cool in the pan.
Serve
- Once cooled, slice them into bars, and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before serving. Enjoy them at family gatherings or cozy evenings in!
Notes
You can store these bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze them for up to three months. Reheat in the oven to maintain their original taste and texture.
