Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and a few tablespoons of salted caramel sauce.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the lined baking sheet. Create a small indentation in the center of each cookie and fill it with more salted caramel sauce.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before sprinkling with flaky sea salt.
