Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 bottle sparkling wine (such as Prosecco or Champagne) Use your favorite sparkling wine.
  • 1 cup cranberry juice (preferably 100% juice) Gives a rich flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh berries (raspberries, strawberries, or pomegranates) Choose your preferred fresh berries.
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh lime juice To taste; enhances the freshness.
  • Fresh mint leaves For garnish.
  • Ice Optional for serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by chilling your glasses to keep your spritzer extra refreshing. You can place them in the fridge or fill them with ice water for a few minutes.
  2. In a large pitcher, pour in the cranberry juice and add the fresh lime juice. Mix gently to combine.
  3. Toss in your choice of fresh berries; they will not only enhance the flavor but also look fabulous floating in the drink.
  4. Slowly pour the chilled sparkling wine into the pitcher with the juice and berries to help retain the bubbles.
  5. Use a long spoon to gently stir the mixture without losing the fizz, just until everything is combined nicely.
  6. Fill each chilled glass with ice, if using, and pour the spritzer mixture over. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few more berries on top.

Notes

Store any remaining spritzer in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours but consume it sooner for optimal fizz. You can prepare the juice and berry mixture in advance and add the sparkling wine just before serving.
