Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into four equally sized patties.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Cooking
- Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. After flipping, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill until golden.
Assembly
- Start with the bottom bun, add the lettuce and slice of tomato (if desired), followed by the cheesy patty.
- Drizzle a generous amount of BBQ sauce and top it off with crispy onion rings. Finish with the top bun.
Serving
- Enjoy your Rodeo Burger hot off the grill, and don’t forget the napkins!
Notes
To prevent tough texture, do not overwork the ground beef when forming the patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly. Feel free to customize toppings with avocado or jalapeños for added flavor.
