Fudge Base
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Feel free to swap with seeds for nut allergies.
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows Consider using crushed graham crackers for variation.

Preparation
  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over low to medium-low heat, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped nuts and mini marshmallows until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until fully set.
  7. Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze wrapped pieces for up to 3 months. For serving, pair with vanilla ice cream or coffee.
