Ingredients

  • - 2 sleeves Ritz crackers
  • - 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • - 1/2 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • - 1/4 tsp sea salt flakes optional for garnish

Instructions

  • **Prepare the Whipped Cream:**
  • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  • **Assemble the First Layer:**
  • Spread a thin layer of whipped cream at the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange a single layer of Ritz crackers over the whipped cream.
  • **Add Caramel and Whipped Cream:**
  • Drizzle a generous amount of caramel sauce over the crackers. Spread an even layer of whipped cream on top.
  • **Repeat the Layers:**
  • Continue layering Ritz crackers, caramel sauce, and whipped cream until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  • **Chill the Cake:**
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.
  • **Garnish and Serve:**
  • Before serving, drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with sea salt flakes for a touch of salty-sweet flavor. Slice and serve chilled.
