Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Add eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  3. Carefully stir in the boiling water.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans to cool completely on wire racks.
