Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients to make the cooking process smooth.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped rhubarb and sugar. Stir gently until the sugar begins to dissolve.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the rhubarb softens, but don’t let it turn mushy.
- In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the Jello in boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
- Add the cooked rhubarb (along with any juices) to the Jello mixture. Stir in the cold water and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a serving dish or individual cups. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until the Jello fully sets.
- Once set, top with whipped cream if desired and enjoy this delightful dessert!
Notes
This dessert is best enjoyed fresh. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Freezing is not recommended as it may lose texture.
