Ingredients
  

For the drink
  • 4 cups watermelon, diced and seeded Use ripe melons for the best sweetness
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, packed Use fresh mint for a better flavor
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice Adjust to taste
  • 2 cups sparkling water Regular water can be used as a substitute
  • to taste sugar or sweetener Optional, adjust based on sweetness preference
  • as needed ice cubes For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the watermelon into small, bite-sized pieces and remove the seeds.
  2. In a blender, blend the diced watermelon until smooth.
  3. Optional: Strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve for a smoother consistency.
  4. Add fresh mint leaves and lime juice to the blender. Pulse a few times to combine.
  5. Add sugar or sweetener to taste and blend again until incorporated.
  6. Pour the blended mix into a large pitcher and gently mix in the sparkling water.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in the watermelon mint mix, and garnish with extra mint leaves.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Mix in sparkling water just before serving to maintain fizz.
