  • 2 cups fresh raspberries Lightly mashed
  • 4 cups boiling water For steeping the tea
  • 4 tea bags black or green tea Choose your preferred type of tea
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes For serving
  • Mint leaves For garnish, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the fresh raspberries thoroughly under cool water.
  2. Gently place them into a bowl and mash them lightly with a fork to release their juicy goodness.
  3. In a kettle or pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  4. Remove the boiling water from heat and add the tea bags immediately.
  5. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.
  6. In a large pitcher, add the mashed raspberries and the sugar.
  7. Pour the freshly steeped tea over the fruit mixture and stir well to combine.
  8. Taste and adjust the sweetness if necessary.
  9. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for at least an hour to chill.
  10. When ready to serve, pour over ice cubes in individual glasses.
  11. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and enjoy your refreshing drink!

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for optimal freshness. Best consumed within 3 to 5 days.
