Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar. Blend well until smooth and creamy.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture. Add lemon curd and lemon zest, then fold until fully combined.
Layering
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, making sure not to soak them.
- Place a layer of coffee-soaked ladyfingers in a suitable dish. Spread half of the lemon mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and the remaining lemon mascarpone mixture on top.
Chilling and Serving
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Garnish with fresh lemon slices and additional lemon zest before serving.
Notes
For a Halal-friendly version, substitute mascarpone with a blend of cream cheese and heavy cream. Ensure to chill overnight for the best flavor.
