Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1 cup red-colored M&M candies
  • 1 cup blue-colored M&M candies
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips (optional) Only if desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Mixing
  1. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until just incorporated.
Combine and Bake
  1. Gently fold in the red and blue M&M candies (and white chocolate chips if using).
  2. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
  4. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds when ready to enjoy.
