Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring Can substitute with beet juice.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Toppings
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips Optional for extra sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mixing
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar, mixing until glossy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in between, then add red food coloring and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
Baking
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  3. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, slice into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
