Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • a pinch salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 cups milk (almond, soy, or coconut for a dairy-free option)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy) based on your preference
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mason jar or bowl, add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Mixing them together will ensure an even consistency.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine milk, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract (if using). Stir until thoroughly combined; it should be a smooth mixture.
  3. Pour the wet mixture over the dry oats. Stir well to combine, ensuring all oats are fully coated in the peanut butter mixture.
  4. Cover your jar or bowl and place it in the fridge. Allow the oats to soak up the liquid overnight for optimal flavor and texture.
  5. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Enjoy them straight from the jar or serve in a bowl topped with your favorite fruits, nuts, or seeds.

Notes

These oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you prefer a thicker consistency, reduce the amount of milk; for creamier oats, add more milk. Microwave for 30-60 seconds if you want to enjoy them warm.
