Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
Layering
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, then add 1/3 of the marinara sauce, followed by 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese.
- Continue layering until all ingredients are used, ending with noodles and toppings of marinara sauce, remaining mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to customize the ingredients with veggies or herbs. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 3 months.
