Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauces
  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
Cheese Mixture
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
Layering
  1. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce.
  2. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  3. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, then add 1/3 of the marinara sauce, followed by 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese.
  4. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, ending with noodles and toppings of marinara sauce, remaining mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the ingredients with veggies or herbs. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 3 months.
