Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and eggs. Beat until smooth and well-blended. Add vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together flour, sugar, salt, and pumpkin spice into the pumpkin mixture. Stir gently, avoiding overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, until the custard layer is set and the top is golden.
  2. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Top with whipped cream or chopped nuts for enhanced flavor and texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for long-term storage.
