  • 2 cups high-protein flour
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt Halal-friendly
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the high-protein flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
  3. Add in the plain Greek yogurt, mixing until a dough begins to form. You may need to knead it gently using your hands.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions, roll each into a ball, and poke a hole in the center of each ball to form the classic bagel shape.
  5. Place your bagels on a lined baking sheet. Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds or bagel seasoning on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
