Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your donut pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and melted butter until well blended.
- Gradually stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Spoon the batter into each mold of the donut pan, filling them about ¾ full.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Coating and Serving
- Allow the donuts to cool for a few minutes before carefully removing them from the pan.
- Roll each donut in powdered sugar while they’re still warm for a sweet coating.
- Serve warm and enjoy your homemade Powdered Sugar Donuts!
Notes
Don’t overmix your batter to avoid dense donuts. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
