Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Frozen potstickers (chicken, vegetable, or any halal-friendly option)
  • 4 cups Chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 pieces Green onions, sliced For garnish
  • 1 cup Bok choy, chopped
  • to taste Soy sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 bunch Cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, begin by heating the broth over medium heat. Once it’s simmering, add the grated ginger and minced garlic, stirring well to combine.
Cooking
  1. Toss in the chopped bok choy and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes until it begins to soften.
  2. Carefully drop the frozen potstickers into the broth. Allow them to cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they are heated through and start to float to the surface.
  3. Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper, adjusting to your preference. Finish with a drizzle of sesame oil if desired for an extra layer of flavor.
Serving
  1. Ladle the soup into bowls, garnish with sliced green onions and cilantro, and serve immediately.

Notes

For substitutions, you can use vegetable potstickers or add tofu for extra protein. Ensure potstickers are not overcrowded to cook evenly. Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for a month.
