Preparation
- Peel the potatoes (if preferred) and cut them into thin strips, resembling ‘finger’ shapes.
- Soak the cut potato sticks in cold water for about 30 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat enough oil in a deep frying pan or large pot over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C).
- Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Carefully add a portion of the potato sticks to the hot oil, frying in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the cooked sticks to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and season immediately with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you desire.
Serving
- Enjoy your freshly made Potato Finger Sticks hot with your favorite dips!
Notes
If any leftover Potato Finger Sticks, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. For longer storage, freeze them once cooled. Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes.
