Salad Base
  • 1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing (halal-compliant)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste Salt
  • Pepper to taste Pepper
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup croutons (homemade or store-bought)
  • ½ cup grilled or baked chicken breast, sliced (optional) Optional for added protein
  • Freshly grated to taste Parmesan cheese Omit if not a fan

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Pat it dry and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Place the chopped romaine in a large salad bowl.
Flavor Base
  1. Drizzle olive oil over the chopped romaine and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss gently.
Toppings
  1. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top, followed by the croutons. Add chicken slices if using.
Dressing
  1. Pour Caesar dressing evenly over the salad, being careful not to overdress.
Serve
  1. Gently toss the salad until well combined. Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

If using other greens, try kale or spinach for a twist. Prepare croutons in advance for the best texture. Avoid overdressing to prevent sogginess.
