Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (green or red for color)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 pieces burger buns

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  2. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, using your spatula to break it into crumbles (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and simmer to let the flavors meld, about 5-10 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and sprinkle the provolone and cheddar cheese over the beef mixture. Cover the skillet for a minute, allowing the cheese to melt.
  5. Spoon the cheesy beef mixture into each burger bun and serve immediately. Enjoy the delicious mess!

Notes

Consider adding fresh parsley or hot sauce as toppings. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
