Ingredients

Marinade
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs chicken breast, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
  • Skewers (wooden or metal) If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade. Ensure each piece is well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour; overnight for the best flavors.
  3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the skewers on the grill. Cook for about 15 minutes, turning every few minutes until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
Serving
  1. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!
