  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Substitutable with lemon zest for a zesty twist.
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (optional) Can be omitted for a vegan version.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the asparagus under cool water and gently pat them dry. Snap off any tough ends.
Seasoning
  1. Place the asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over the spears, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently to coat.
Roasting
  1. Spread the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on how tender you like your asparagus.
Finishing Touch
  1. If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle over the asparagus in the last 2-3 minutes of roasting.
Serving
  1. Remove the asparagus from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm as a side or snack!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, microwave for about 30 seconds or place in a hot oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
