Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Rinse the asparagus under cool water and gently pat them dry. Snap off any tough ends.
Seasoning
- Place the asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over the spears, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently to coat.
Roasting
- Spread the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on how tender you like your asparagus.
Finishing Touch
- If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle over the asparagus in the last 2-3 minutes of roasting.
Serving
- Remove the asparagus from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm as a side or snack!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, microwave for about 30 seconds or place in a hot oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
