Pre baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure an even bake.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this mix aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they’re well incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an even thicker cookie, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Serve with cold milk or vanilla ice cream.
