Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- If using store-bought dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface until it’s about ¼ inch thick.
- Use a round cutter or a glass to cut circles (about 4-5 inches in diameter) out of the dough.
- On one half of each circle, place a slice of pepperoni, a spoonful of pizza sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
- Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal them. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
- Place the sealed pizza pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with dried oregano.
Baking
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pockets are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling inside.
- Let them cool slightly before serving. Pair with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
Dough substitutions can include whole wheat or gluten-free options. Keep an eye on baking time to prevent burning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for about a month.
