Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak, cut into strips Can substitute with sirloin or rib-eye.
  • 2 pieces bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons water For mixing with cornstarch.

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the flank steak into thin strips, along with the bell peppers and onion. Mince the garlic as well.
Cooking
  1. Place the sliced steak, bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic into the crock pot.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and ground black pepper. Pour this over the ingredients in the crock pot.
  3. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir this mixture into the crock pot to thicken the sauce. Cover and let cook until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Spoon the pepper steak over cooked rice and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure to let the beef marinate for at least 30 minutes before cooking for enhanced flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
