Preparation
  1. Rinse the mixed greens thoroughly under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Slice the ripe pear into thin wedges, discarding the core.
  3. Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until lightly browned and fragrant.
Assembly
  1. In a large salad bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced pears, and prosciutto.
  2. Sprinkle the toasted walnuts and blue cheese over the top.
  3. Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette just before serving, adjusting based on preference.
  4. Gently toss all ingredients until well coated with the dressing.
