Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, whisking until smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, then gradually fold it into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Making Peanut Butter Cheesecake Layer
- In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, peanut butter, and sugar until creamy.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
Layering and Baking
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out evenly.
- Spoon the peanut butter cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer, spreading it out as needed.
- Finally, pour the remaining brownie batter on top and gently swirl it together with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For a Halal-friendly approach, ensure that all ingredients, particularly the cream cheese, are certified Halal. Avoid over-mixing to keep brownies light and fluffy. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
