Ingredients

For the Iced Tea
  • 4 cups water For boiling
  • 2 bags black tea (or green tea for a lighter taste) Tea bags for brewing
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, pitted and diced Fresh peaches are ideal for flavor
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries Fresh raspberries add tartness
  • 1/4 cup honey or your preferred sweetener Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 3 cups sparkling water Add fizz just before serving
  • to taste ice cubes For serving
  • to taste fresh mint leaves Optional garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a saucepan.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for about 5-7 minutes, then remove the bags.
  3. Stir in the honey or preferred sweetener while the tea is still warm, ensuring it mixes well.
  4. Add the diced peaches and fresh raspberries to a large pitcher and gently muddle them with a spoon to release some of their juices.
  5. Pour the brewed tea over the fruit mixture, stir to combine, then allow it to cool to room temperature.
  6. Refrigerate the tea for at least 1-2 hours to let the flavors meld together nicely.
  7. Just before serving, mix in the sparkling water for that delightful fizz.
  8. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the Peach Raspberry Iced Tea over, and garnish with mint leaves if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

For a stronger flavor, let the tea chill overnight. If using frozen fruit, ensure it's thawed before use. Avoid adding sparkling water too early to maintain fizz.
